�El Gliosarcoma, es una neoplasia primaria, �poco com�n del sistema nervioso central. Existe poca literatura sobre esta entidad, es muy rara en poblaci�n pedi�trica. Se caracteriza por presentar un componente glial y otro sarcomatoso. Se hace una revisi�n bibliogr�fica de los 7 �ltimos a�os a trav�s de Pubmed-Internet, haciendo �nfasis en la cl�nica, comportamiento biol�gico y abordajes terap�uticos de esta infrecuente patolog�a. Resulta interesante comparar lo publicado con el presente caso, de una ni�a de 8 a�os, intervenida quir�rgicamente, con sobrevida de m�s de 2 a�os y buena calidad de vida. Sin embargo, present� met�stasis pulmonar que ocasion� el desenlace fatal.

�The Gliosarcoma is a rare primary neoplasm of the central nervous system. There is little literature on this entity and it is quite rare in the pediatric population. It is characterized by a glial component and another one, sarcomatous. A bibliographic review of the last 7 years is done through Pubmed-Internet, emphasizing the clinical, biological behavior and therapy for this rare disease. It is interesting to compare what is in the books with this case, a girl of eight years old, who underwent surgery, with survival of more than 2 years and good quality of life. However, lung metastases were presented which caused the fatal outcome.
