El Gliosarcoma, es una neoplasia primaria,  poco común del sistema nervioso central. Existe poca literatura sobre esta entidad, es muy rara en población pediátrica. Se caracteriza por presentar un componente glial y otro sarcomatoso. Se hace una revisión bibliográfica de los 7 últimos años a través de Pubmed-Internet, haciendo énfasis en la clínica, comportamiento biológico y abordajes terapéuticos de esta infrecuente patología. Resulta interesante comparar lo publicado con el presente caso, de una niña de 8 años, intervenida quirúrgicamente, con sobrevida de más de 2 años y buena calidad de vida. Sin embargo, presentó metástasis pulmonar que ocasionó el desenlace fatal.

 The Gliosarcoma is a rare primary neoplasm of the central nervous system. There is little literature on this entity and it is quite rare in the pediatric population. It is characterized by a glial component and another one, sarcomatous. A bibliographic review of the last 7 years is done through Pubmed-Internet, emphasizing the clinical, biological behavior and therapy for this rare disease. It is interesting to compare what is in the books with this case, a girl of eight years old, who underwent surgery, with survival of more than 2 years and good quality of life. However, lung metastases were presented which caused the fatal outcome.
