Se revisaron los expedientes clínicos, de 16 pacientes con diagnóstico de Carcinoma Laríngeo, en los cuales se realizó tratamiento quirúrgico, como terapéutica inicial o como tratamiento de la recaída poster ior al tratamiento inicial con radiaciones ionizantes, de los mismos 3 fueron elegibles para la Laringectomía Supraglótica y 13 casos en los cuales se realizó la Laringectomía Subtotal con Cricohioidopexia. Los pacientes analizados fueron 14 del sexo masculino y 2 del sexo femenino, en la distribución por edades, la mayor parte de la casuística se encontraba en la 6". y 7". década de vida, con 7 y 5 casos respectivamente, con un rango de edades entre 40 y 7I años, en 12 pacientes el tratamiento quirúrgico se realizó después del fallo del tratamiento radiante y en 4 paciente s se realizó como tratamiento inicial. The clinical files of 16patients with laringealcarcinoma were reanalyzed. AH patients were submitted to surgicaI treatment as initial therape utic or after clinical relapse of the tumor followingh initial treatment with radiotherapy. Three patients out of the 16 were selected for supraglotic laringectomy, while in the remainder 13 cases was performed subtotal laringectomy with cricohioidopexia: Fourteen patients of the group were males and 2 females. The age of most cases fall in the 6th and 7th decade of life, with 7 and 5 patients respectively in those decades, with age range between 40 and 71 years. In 12 cases the surgical treatment was performed after the failure of radiation therapy, while in 4 patients the surgery was performed as initial treatment. The interval with canules (stem) was between 48 and 57 days in the case of supraglotic horizontal laringectomy and between 39 and 169 days in Four of the patients are still with canules, one of them receiven total laringectomy because of repetitive broncoaspiration, another one with important sepsis of the anterior neck, and the two remainder still with canules can feed per oral way. At the present moment 14 patients of the group are alive without tumoral activity, one case is alive with tumor and with a second malignat tumor of theesophagus. The last case in dead.
