El Tumor de Células Redondas Pequeñas Desmoplásico (TCRPD) es más frecuente en niños y adultos jóvenes masculinos. Fue descrito originalmente como un tumor de localización exclusivamente abdominal. Recientemente ha sido reportado en otras localizaciones. Su inmunofenotipo es variable. ya que presenta relatividad para marcadores de tipo epitelial neural y muscular. Es extremadamente agresivo y letal. Se presenta el caso de un hombre de 29 años de edad que asistió al Instituto Nacional de Oncología y Radiobiología (I.N.0.R.) de La Habana, con gran tumor abdomino — pélvico. Se practicó la exéresis en bloque del tumor con omentectomía y cistectomía parcial. Recibió tratamiento quimioterápico adyuvante. Se demostró inmunorreactividad con la sinaptofisina, lo que no ha sido reportado ampliamente en la literatura revisada.

The Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT) arises more freq uently in male children and male young adults. It was originally desc ribed as a tumor which grows exclusivelly in the abdominal region. It has been recently reported in other sites of the body. lts inmunophenotype is varia ble because it reacts with epithelial, neural and musc ular markers. It is extremely agressive and lethal. We present the case of a 29 years old man who was admitted in the Natio nal Institute of Oncology ando Radiobiology in Havana, due to a great abdomi no pelvic tumor. It was done in en bloc resectio n of the tumor together with omentectomy and partial cystec tomy. The patient received adyuvant chemotherapy. It was demonstrated inmunoreactivity with the synaptophysin. It has not been widely reported in the revised literature. Key Words: Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. |
