One huldred and ten patients with gastric cancer were included in this study since Januari 1982 to December 1992, with a follow up of 5 to 126 months. There was a higher incidence on the symptoms with 93% and 100% respectively. The most of the cases were adenocarcinoma (98%) with a predominance of G2 and G3. A higher incidense in location was the lower third (36%) and milddle third(30%). The carcinoma was in stage III and IV in the 86% of patients. Ninety seven patients had surgery (88%) and 73 cases were radical (75%). Complementary therapy was given in 90 patients (82%). Twenty five patients who were in stage III, branch A, were treated with RT + OT and 20 patients of the branch B were treated only with QT. The survival at the two years for stage III was 61% vs 35% for both branches with a p>0.5 and the 5 years survival there was 37% vs 35% to both branches.
