| Isaacson and Wrigth in year 1983, described the concept of Mucosa Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma as a proliferation neoplasic monoclonal of lymphocytes B that infiltrates gastric glands with typic lymphoepitelial lesions. This patology is considered as a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma of Bcells, extranodal and marginal zone lymphoma, being possible the infiltration of nodes and other organs in its evolution as gastric lymphoma. A gastric lymphoma is considered when there are no adenomegalies, peripheric or mediastinic, and without peripheric blood neither hepatoesplenic affection, except for the one by neighborhood. These lesions are around 7% of all gastric neoplasies and almost 2% of all lymphomas being the gastric localization the most frequent among MALT. It appears frequeantly in men over 50 years (Men-Women Relation 1,7-1). At the moment of diagnosis it is a low grade tumor in 70- 85% of cases. Key word: Lymphoma Malt |
