Hacer colposcopía, no solamente es el estudio ampliado de imágenes, no sólo es poder distinguir lo que es un mosaico, un puntillado o una leucoplasia; sino que es la interpretación histológica y los cambios patológicos que se pueden estar llevando a cabo en dichos tejidos para de esta manera poder tomar la determinación de cuál es el sitio a realizar la biopsia.

No podemos entusiasmarnos con un bello mosaico que puede  ser una lesión por HPV, cuando más allá hay una zona roja con un leve puntillado irregular que puede ser un carcinoma invasor.

Así mismo nos encontramos con informes de estas biopsias, incluso a veces de una misma institución que nos contestan utilizando diferentes nomenclaturas llevando de esta manera más incertidumbre a los médicos que no están familiarizados con la patología cervical.

Es por eso, que para poder charlar con los médicos que se quieren iniciar en la colposcopía, tengo que primero andar por el mundo del histopatólogo y poder contestar la evolución de todas las nomenclaturas histológicas que utilizamos los colposcopistas.

Coloscopy is not merely a wide study of imagenes, it is not merely to be able to differentiate between a mosaic, a punticulum or a leukoplakia; it is indeed the histological interpretation of the patological chages of tissues in order to decide which is the exact spot to perform the biopsy.

We can not excited with a mosaic fuzz that father we will find a red band with a slight irregular puncticulum which can be an invasive carcinoma.

Besides, we usually get reports from these biopsies with different nomesclatures from the same institution, and this makes physicians hesitate more since they are unfimiliar with the cervical pathology.

The above is the main reason why I have to learner physucuans interested in colposcopy know about the histopathologst enviroment with the purpose of evaluating all of the histological nomenclatures used by the colposcopists.
